QS MIDDLE EAST AND AFRICA PROFESSIONAL LEADERS IN EDUCATION CONFERENCE AND EXHIBITION

Higher Colleges of Technology

QS-MAPLE, The Future of Higher Education in the Middle East and Africa

The Higher Colleges of Technology is proud to co-host, with Amity University, the 7th QS-MAPLE conference, which is held under the theme of “The Future of Higher Education in the Middle East and Africa”.

We extend a very warm welcome to the conference delegates who will travel from many countries to Dubai, where they will share information and experiences on global best practice in the delivery of high-quality higher education and research, which are the core operations of post-secondary institutions.

We thank Amity University, one of India’s premier higher education groups, for partnering with HCT to deliver this conference which will bring together a diverse range of university and educational experts, administrators and academicians who are committed and passionate about the success of higher education in their respective countries, and who are focused on the issue of ensuring and maintaining student engagement and success.

Higher education is a very important industry in the MENA region and this conference will enable academics and administrators to exchange knowledge and opinion in their fields of interest, which are also highly relevant to regional issues and challenges. Forum delegates will be able to discuss the importance of evaluating Middle Eastern and African universities in a regional and global context. It will also help enhance the leadership and planning skills and competencies of all participants.

Hence we will witness best international academic and administrative practices and common challenges facing academic leaders in educational institutions, especially those focusing on technology.

As many nations in this region are considering the benefits of a knowledge-based economy, there is a need to invest in human capital by stimulating their minds and providing them with the highest quality education. Educational institutions must ensure that students are nurtured to succeed and are equipped with the right competencies and outcomes to be able to contribute to their respective societies.

The 7th QS-MAPLE conference will provide institutions and educationalists with the relevant information and support so that they can innovate teaching and learning methods to attract and engage the minds of this “iPad generation”, who will become future leaders of their communities.

We look forward to highly inspiring networking and knowledge-sharing opportunities during this conference for the betterment of educational institutions and their students locally, regionally and globally.
